Hello

I created Affinity Collective as a space where people can feel supported, understood, and empowered—whether you are seeking support through counselling or looking for reflective, meaningful professional supervision.

Over the past decade, I have worked alongside children, young people, families, and professionals across a range of settings, including youth homelessness, complex trauma, school counselling, mental health, family services, and out-of-home care. These experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of safe relationships, connection, and creating spaces where people feel genuinely heard.

As an accredited member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), my practice is informed by ongoing learning, professional supervision, reflective practice, and a deep respect for the complexity of each person's experiences. I bring a trauma-informed, systemic, relational, and strengths-based approach to my work, recognising that every person has their own story, strengths, and capacity for growth.

Affinity Collective is a solo practice, meaning you will work directly with me. I value authentic relationships and creating a warm, collaborative space where you can explore challenges, build insight, and move towards meaningful change at your own pace.

Hi, I'm Elly, founder of Affinity Collective.

My Mission

The mission of Affinity Collective is to create a space where people feel safe to reflect, heal, grow, and reconnect with what matters most.

Through counselling, I support children, young people, and adults to better understand their experiences, navigate life's challenges, build emotional awareness, and strengthen their connection with themselves and others. I believe counselling is not about having all the answers, but about creating a supportive relationship where people feel heard, valued, and empowered.

Through professional supervision, I support practitioners to pause, reflect, and develop their practice with curiosity and confidence. I believe supervision is a space for thoughtful exploration, ethical practice, professional growth, and maintaining connection to the purpose and values that guide our work.

Whether you are seeking counselling or supervision, my aim is to offer a space grounded in compassion, authenticity, and trust. A space where complexity can be explored without judgement, strengths can be recognised, and growth can happen through genuine connection.

My Values

Values are at the heart of meaningful counselling. They shape how we connect, build trust, and define how you show up for yourself.

My values are compassion, openness authenticity, respect, and curiosity. These values inform my counselling practice.

Often holding similar values with your therapist can ensure that counselling becomes more than problem-solving—it becomes a relationship that supports healing, growth, and lasting change.
