Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can I expect from a Affinity Collective supervision session?

Reflective supervision is a structured and collaborative space in which a supervisor supports a social worker to think critically about their practice, explore their emotional responses to the work, and make meaningful links between theory and real-life cases. It provides an opportunity to strengthen professional judgement, deepen analysis, and develop confidence in decision-making, while also promoting wellbeing and resilience. Rather than focusing solely on case management or task completion, reflective supervision centres on thoughtful exploration—encouraging practitioners to reflect on how and why they are working in certain ways, not just what they are doing.

We are mindful of work and study commitments and our session availability for supervision sessions aims to be flexible to accommodate this.

Q: What information should I provide prior to a supervision session?

You will be sent a form prior to your session which will contain prompting questions, asking you for your experience and supervision needs to help guide the session.

Q: What are your fees or cost per session?

Supervision $155 (per hourly session)

Q: I’m not sure telehealth is for me, can I still reach out?

Of course! We will be in contact the next business day. While Affinity Collective is currently 100% online for accessibility, we understand this doesn’t work for everyone. Please contact us to discuss this further if you are living in the A.C.T.

Q: How is my confidentiality and privacy maintained using telehealth?

At Affinity Collective we use Halaxy which is a global platform for clinical software utilised by 40 different types of health practitioners, including psychologists. Once you have sent a contact query via our website you will be sent our intake documents via Halaxy. This will include background information and it will also request your payment details.

Halaxy is protected by 256-bit bank grade security and encryption, which means records, notes and payment information is protected to the same level used in banks. All information is encrypted and stored in a securely protected data centre in Australia with multiple backups in place.  Your data is hosted on servers with state-of-the-art security and are located within Australia.  To learn more about Halaxy’s privacy and security, click here.

Q: Why do I have to provide my credit card details to Halaxy?

There are no cash or eftpos facilities used by Affinity Collective therefore only online processing is accepted.  Halaxy removes the hassle of payment administration by enabling payments to be electronically managed through Halaxy.  Once your details are entered into Halaxy, there is no need to handle payments again, and we are able to separate the financial and clinical relationship so we can focus solely on your sessions.

At Affinity Collective we understand that life happens and that you may need to cancel or postpone your appointment. If so, please give at least 48 hour’s notice. Please note, if you cancel your session within 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee of $50 will apply. If no notice is provided or you fail to attend your session you will be charged the full fee.
